PRIVACY POLICY

Throughout this process, your privacy is important to me.

I will return any documents to you as soon as I have sighted them unless I legally need to retain them, and I would do so for the minimum period possible.

I will only ask you for information that I need, to ensure that your ceremony is legal and for the purposes intended, which I will explain to you, and to undertake a ceremony that is to your liking.

As required by law, all legal documents are forwarded to the registry of Births Deaths and Marriages (BDM) of that state you are married in, within 14 days of the ceremony.  I am also required by law to retain a copy of the marriage certificate and your basic details in my own personal marriage register, which is also kept under lock and key.  Records are kept by me for at least 6 years.

Whilst working on any documents in relation to your wedding, I secure any documents if I am not directly using them and ensure no one inadvertently sees them.  All documents are secured in a locked filing cabinet and/or in a password protected computer.

I will not divulge any of your personal information, unless it is to an official from Births, Deaths & Marriages Registry or the Attorney Generals Department.

If asked by anyone for any information about yourselves, I would ask the person to contact you directly for information.
